“It is exciting to see the Foundation facilitating a wide range of events celebrating Canadian published works, including children’s works and poetry, programs geared toward the Asian-Canadian and BIPOC communities, and multiple opportunities for Canadians to discover Canadian stories either in-person or virtually,” said ACF Chair Margaret Reynolds. “We are pleased to make this vital contribution to the cultural vibrancy of Canada.”
As the way we hold events have evolved over the course of the past two years, the Foundation has adapted too so that its Events Grant program can support organizations no matter how they choose to hold events that celebrate Canadian works.
ACF grants are awarded through a peer adjudication process administered on behalf of the Foundation by SK Arts. Jurors for the 2022 Events Grant program were Jael Richardson, author (Gutter Child) and artistic director for the Festival of Literary Diversity (The FOLD); Christian Sharpe, manager, business operations for Diaspora Dialogues as well as a musician; and Anne Simpson, a poet, author (Speechless), artist and essayist.

Access Copyright Foundation Events Grants provide funding to organizations and artists groups to showcase publishable works to the public or to host professional development events for writers, visual artists, publishers and related arts professionals.
