Paul Seesequasis (Chair)

Paul Seesequasis is a Willow Cree curator, writer, editor, and journalist residing in Saskatchewan. He is the author of the award-winning Blanket Toss Under Midnight Sun (Knopf) in 2019. His next book, Gaze, (Knopf) will come out in 2023. He curated the first-ever exhibition of James Brady’s photographs, Enclosing Some Snapshots and has published extensively. He is the founder of the online Indigenous Archival Photo Project.

Terrilee Bulger is the co-owner and General Manager of Nimbus Publishing in Halifax and is the Publisher of The Acorn Press, which is located in Prince Edward Island.

Judith Drinnan

Judith Drinnan immigrated to Canada from the United Kingdom in the early seventies to teach in Montreal and then moved to Fort Simpson in the Northwest Territories. She has resided there ever since.

She bought out the Fledgling Books store in Yellowknife and was a bookseller, a career that has been varied, exciting and fun-filled for over 40 years.

Over the years, Judith has served on the Prairie Division of the National Book Festival Committee as well on the Board of the Booksellers Association. The Association started a “flying bookstore,” a literacy project with De Beers which generously sponsored the project as well as organizing Children’s Book Week in the Northwest Territories, ensuring books and authors arrived together in small communities and also founded the NorthWords Writers Festival.

Carle Steel

Carle Steel is a Regina-based writer, journalist and arts administrator. She has worked in publishing and for arts service organizations, including the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild and the Association of English language Publishers of Quebec. Most recently, she was the Literary Arts Program Consultant for the Saskatchewan Arts Board and was responsible for Access Copyright Foundation programs. Her fiction and creative non-fiction have been shortlisted for the CBC Literary Awards, the City of Regina Writing Award, and The Writers Union of Canada’s Short Prose Competition for Emerging Writers. Carle holds a Bachelor of Arts (French) and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Regina and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Guelph. She is currently at work on her first novel.
